NIGEL EWINGTON
Based in Cambridge, England.
Nigel has built a reputation as one of Europe's most respected international management development practitioners, providing a broad range of solutions including team-building, organisational development and executive coaching in the area of managing cultural differences.
I addition to his busy project work with organisations in the corporate and non-profit sectors, Nigel is interested in developing executive education in the field of cross-cultural management in an academic context. He was responsible for setting up and directing 6 editions of the 'Diploma in InterCultural Management' in partnership with University of Cambridge Programme for Industry. He is also a regular contributor to the 'Post-graduate Certificate in Cross-Sector Partnership' at the University of Cambridge, and teaches 'Cross-Cultural Management' on the MBA of China European International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. Here his key interest is linking theory to practice, and grounding the study of intercultural issues in concrete business reality.
Nigel has recently acted as intercultural advisor and materials developer for the acclaimed training video 'A World of Difference: working successfully across cultures' published in 2003. He is also founding partner of WorldWork Ltd and co-designer of The International Profiler and its accompanying International Competency Set.
Nigel speaks five languages and, before setting up TCO in 1988, he lived and worked in a range of countries including Bulgaria, Finland and the Congo.
