TYPICAL LEARNING SOLUTIONS |
|
Each individual
learning solution is different, but these are some of the main formats
which we use.
'Experiencing diversity' - Typically lasting 90 minutes,
each of these events focuses on raising key IDM issues by providing an experience
that stimulates thought and accelerates learning. They can easily
be attached to a leadership programme or a corporate event.
'Group learning' - These projects are often based
around a workshop - anything between one and four days - but blended
with up-front research and individual skills coaching. The training
group often have in common the need to move from awareness to skills
in managing diversity. Such projects are often a customised response
to the shared needs of high potentials, team leaders, HR professionals
and international managers.
'Action learning' - These team projects are often
based around a get-together of a team and piggy-backed on to team
activities. The team shares specific challenges in integrating their
activities, and the TCO consultant acts as a facilitator in helping
them understand the challenges they face and move forward.
'Personal Coaching' - These projects focus on the development needs of senior managers and usually start with the completion of one of our on-line diagnostics such as The International Profiler. The feedback session is either delivered face-to-face or more increasingly over the phone. In the case of The International Profiler an initial telephone feedback session leads to the identification of key development areas connected to specific challenges the coachee is facing in working in new and unfamiliar cultural contexts. This is followed up by two subsequent telephone calls. One is designed to 'sign off' a draft International Development Plan (IDP) prepared by the coachee in response to the development areas identified. The second is aimed at following up the coachee's progress in implementing the IDP some months later. Here the interventions of a TCO coach are supported by in-depth scored profiles, written analyses and development recommendations that accompany The International Profiler. |
